UK music has been well and truly blessed by the contributions of Jamal Banton (formerly Hardhouse Banton). Himself and a small collective of like-minded producers were arguably the rise of the UK Funky phenomenon which had its origins in London. Banton has navigated with ease through the different changes in the underground music circuit whilst maintaining trademark characteristics that make his work noticeable and much respected by fans and musical peers alike. HLY005 marked another landmark sound change for him, allowing Banton the full ability to express his deeper affections for the world of House music, whereas at times he may have skimmed the surface level. Future releases with Houseology serve to stretch peoples perceptions of himself as a producer of House genres.
